Protecting yourself
Protecting yourself, in investing, does not mean avoiding losses: it means knowing what happens to your accounts when something goes wrong, and who regulates whom. It explains what becomes of your account if your broker fails — what the protection fund covers, and what it does not — then how to recognize investment fraud, by the signs that recur from one case to the next.
